Thanks Genaro. It's quite a beast, too, at 44mm. Fortunately it wears smaller, but it must have looked huge in the 1970s, especially in Japan.

Thanks very much Dan, I'm glad you like it. It took a while to find the right one, with correct bracelet in decent condition.

The reason for that is we worked out a trade for the refurbishment of my 6105 in exchange for the other 3 watches pictured and he agreed to work on my watch in his spare time (after hours, on his personal time so it didn't interfere w/ the queue of customers he already committed to). That time savings was worth gold to me...as an 11 month wait would have been painful. I haven't taken my 6105 off since he returned it. His lume mixture is AMAZING. He has 3 grades...grade 1 is 100% stock, but he admits it won't really glow. Grade 2 is a mixture he came up w/...old & new so it still looks vintage enough, yet provides enough glow to be functional at night. grade 3 is all modern from a glow standpoint, but obviously looks newer. I opted for #2 and so pleased. Glows enough to use, but definitely doesn't scream, "Modern Relume!" I loved the 6105 years ago when I bought it and find it grows on me more & more each day. I still say quality examples for sale (even at the market price of around $1300-$1800 today) are very much worth the price. I wouldn't be surprised if they double in price again in another 5 yrs (I think the word is getting out how awesome they are and people realize they have been undervalued for years). Good luck w/ the hunt. |

Still a pleasure to wear this one. A 6619-7000 from November 1965. I love the Japanese 1960s-style minimalist dial design. The original bracelet, box and papers are safely tucked away.

I highly recommend. Not only a pleasure to the eye but it's a wonderful complication. I use as a main alarm source when at home and the cel phone as backup. The alarm vibration on the wrist is really nice. The Bell Matic is thicker than the 6119 above and a bit larger in a good way. Like the Sub/Sea Dweller difference in thickness, but it's very comfortable with a great wrist presence. There's a blue dial version that looks interesting but I was lucky to find the silver dial in such wonderful condition. I got this one about twenty years ago, it was serviced last year, and works flawlessly. Love this watch and I'm glad you liked it.
