Icon20 Lange datograph up down rose gold take it or leave it?!!

Hi guys i got offered a used, great condition Lange Datograph up down rosegold year 2016 for 42,500 USD!

Seem like a great price? Do you think I should take it?

I know Lange is not for investment (its not in the sport watches game) Do you think this may be a good investment given that the market value for used is around 50000 USD? and the price of datograph although remains way below retain, never really drop far below 50000 USD

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

The watch is simply awesome!

Buy it because you love its looks, not because of what it may or may not sell for at some future date!

It does look like a good price. Just make sure it doesn’t need service as it will add $1k + to the price.

BTW, I have a PT version and love it!

If you love the watch and everything is right about it then go for it.

It's a beautiful watch, do you really love it or is it because it appears to be a baragin and you might be able to trade or sell closer to $50k down the line ?

There's another seller with the white gold version for a little more, a little bargaining might close the gap....

Price is probably going to stay between $45 and $50 with occasional outliers in the $42- $43 if people are looking to liquidate.

I'd be torn as it's about the same price as the regular platinum Flyback Datograph...Not as lovely as the Up/Down, but still impressive...

It is a good price- but like others already said, buy it only if you actually love it.
The Datograph is, hands down, the best chronograph ever made and you cant go wrong whatever version or metal you buy it in.

imo, even if it needed service (which i highly doubt for piece that was new 2yrs ago) 43,500 for a newly serviced dato up/down is an amazing deal! ur not going to find a better price.

LOVE LOVE LOVE mine.

get it... period.

That's a great price for a truly great watch. If this is what you're looking for, I'd jump on it.

A watch maker can check the amplitude and time deviation using a Timegraph.

I say, if you want to rent it for a few months or a year or so then this seems like a price where you could do that. In a years time you should likely be able to offload it for $40k worst case (and allowing some time).

One caveat to this; dealers will likely offer you high 30’s for this watch today. Just keep that in mind if you’d plan to sell it to a dealer down the line.

I own the PT version. It’s a great watch, in all metals.

If you can swing the 43k I would do it in a second...I got a chance to handle one at an AD in Cali a few months ago. For the price, when compared to competitor watches of that level, it is a no brainer. It's a watch to end all watches

I really like mine... I think it is an outstanding piece. It is not the most comfortable watch i own but acceptable. I think it is an incredible piece. The dial and backside cannot be beat..
