Rolex 5513 buying advise

Hello everyone, please see the 5513, serial 84xxxxx. I am interested in buying it, want to hear your opinions of its originality, any service parts? Thank you

Polished for sure, crown guards thin. Does it have chamfers still? Insert is not original

Good looking watch.

Appears to be well taken care of and to have been serviced appropriately. Hard to say much from a single photo.

the patina of the pearl is whiter than the dial that is lighter than the hands...the insert is either later or aftermarket...I'd pass, you can find much better !

Nice looking watch. Insert type could be correct as its a mid 80s watch. I would just match the pearl with the hands. Not a big deal IMO.

Based on just one photo, it appears to be in nice condition for its age. Based on my experience and ownership of several of these glossy-dialed 5513s, the bezel insert is correct for this watch. Also, the dial is correct for a circa 1984 Submariner 5513.

Looks good to me. Overall it’s in good shape with a nice case and dial. And I agree that the insert is probably original. Pearl may age differently than the dial and hands.

Yeah, or the pearl could be replaced, which is not at all uncommon. Up to the buyer on the polish, look at some other examples and see if you don't like the guards. If you like the price after looking at a few others go for it!
