Grey Dealaer HOARDING

This is insane. This whole market is propped up by nonsense like this. I generally am not into the whole SS Rolex mania, but an SS RO is something I genuinely like but man I'm starting to feel like its not worth it. In the last few months I've started to simply look elsewhere because there are other things that appeal to me thankfully. Uggh.

When I look at that photo all I think of is the metal on metal scratches that those watches will now have.

Only if they have been banging and rubbing against one another. Simply placed like so and photo’d, then the likelihood of scratches is minimal.

I don't know, these are ROs, just staring hard at them can cause marks...

He wouldn’t know about staring hard at an AP since he’s never been able to produce any photographic evidence of ownership despite numerous requests.

Granted they’re not as hard as nails, but they’re not so delicate that a sneeze would mean laser welding was required.

Ho hum… the childish boy bangs his wee drum in an attempt to garner attention to himself!

It really must be killing you not knowing what I’ve had and got, but if you wish to continue being an infantile, immature, imbecile… well then, you carry right on, but don’t interrupt the adults when we’re talking.
There’s a good little boy, now run along.

It’s not killing me at all, I kind of feel sorry for you. Like the car forums this one has its fair share of big timing keyboard warriors it’s just a case of sorting out the dreamers from the genuine people.

Fond as I am of Rolexes, I have to giggle when I see someone clutching 6 APs, while wearing a sky-dweller

This is so vulgar. Would be nice to go back to the days when people were connoisseurs of beauty and craftsmanship instead of buying expensive timepieces to show off their wealth and to make a profit.

Vulgar. That is the right word.

It’s a shame these watches are being hoarded by grey dealers. They should be on the wrists of people who would be enjoying them.

Grays are the reason the market is so F’ed up, not demand.

The potential marks demonstrate the sign of our times, that showing off on social media is more important than maximising profits even to greedy grubby dealers.

Grey dealer hoarding solution = don't pay over retail!

However, if you pay over retail because you can't wait, then you can't whine about it.

It's not rocket science.

Not sure ‘hoarding’ is the right term / they are turning around and selling them

It is hoarding of sorts. These guys buy enough unwanted inventory that they get there hands on the stuff the people want and create artificial demand.
