Sorry. I was wrong with the subforum. I put it in the general forum. The moderator can cancel it if he considers it appropriate

Toss up for me but if forced to choose I’d take the Sub for sure.

The Explorer is more versatile so - unless you are an aquanaut - that's what I'd go with!

Always a fan of the sub and maintain one in my collection.

Boaught the Explorer for dad.

The explorer is a bit more under the radar and the sub has a useful timing bezel, but other than that, for me it is a toss up. They are both perfect watches.

Such an awful-looking Explorer. The font they used for the numerals is just awful. If you really truly want an Explorer, and can find a great-condition 1016, grab one.

Jeez, I would really need the date for daily wear and the Oyster case reminds me so much of my Milgauss but the Sub is on the horizon it gets my vote. Is that direct enough, haha ?!

It’s amazing how often I use my Sub bezel to time things...cooking, parking meter, etc. I find a bezel indispensable for a daily wearer. I also find a date window to be remarkably useful.

That Explorer has always looked like someone removed the bezel. Sub is classic

Of those two, the 14060. But in my own collection my 1016 gets perhaps 5x the wrist time of my 5513.
