First Sub-C Clasp Scratch

Luckily it was worth it.

It will now always be a reminder of walking the bamboo forest in Maui with the family. Here is a picture from when we reached our destination. I will always remember the kids' reactions.

Thanks all. I appreciate the kind words. The memories made from the scratches definitely beat having it locked up back home. Started shopping for my 2nd tonight at Whaler's Village. It will probably be a DJ2 in about a year.

Nice way to get your maiden commemorative scratch! Great pictures too.

Now all you need to do is do what happened to mine: Get some more so they all blend in together so they're not so noticeable.

The first one can sting a bit, but good to get it out of the way early.
Looks beautiful out there. Enjoy!

+1 to all the above.

Jason,
Sorry to hear but it's bound to happen unless you leave it home all the time and what's the good in that? I've got a couple minor ones on mine already. Kinda bummed me out at first but then I look at some of the pics posted here of watches that guy's have worn for 20, 30 or 40 years as daily wearers and realize that each scratch is a memory. I guess I'm learning to embrace them somewhat.
I hope you had a great vacation, sounds like you did!

Great watch. Was looking at one yesterday down at the AD. I've trained my eye not to see any scratches on my watches, but can't see your first one in the pic. You are lucky enough to have an awesome watch and to be in Hawaii with your family so just enjoy!

At least it's a memory you will remember always. It's not like you banged it on the door handle going to the bathroom.

No sweat. All watches scratches eventually. Great if they also tell a tale or a reminder of a good memory. dings on the other hand...

First Sub-C Clasp Scratch

Nice! I like your attitude about it.

I bought my Sub on vacation with the family, and acquired a ding and a few scratches on the same trip.

It has collected even more "personal patina" since then. And is better for it!

Hey Jason you have a moll 1 inch to the left of the number 40 on your Bezel you may want to have checked. It looks irregular.

Just a memory now!
