Thrilled with Herndon Clock and Watch

My Zephyr and DJ just came back and it's like I have brand new watches! Pictures after I stop drooling.

Glad to hear that Mikki. Dung is my go to guy as well. He is an avid and very knowledagable Rolex collector both vintage and new. Are you in NOVA?

Yes, AJ. I'm in Great Falls. Herndon is right around the corner. Locally I also use Zaf Basha for my JLCs. Dung is much easier to get to and park at :-)

Can someone perhaps tell me if the gaps in the bracelet are what is referred to as "stretch?" Thanks!

Just curious as to a ballpark figure what he charges for a service on a Rolex. I am in Manassas and my Submariner will be needing service within the year and might consider him if price is reasonable. BTW, the watch looks great!

I used to live in Herndon and I get back to the area a couple of times a year. I'm going to keep this shop in mind. He did a great job!

Yes.....the wear between pins and links.

Nice work - the Zephyr makeover was a great success, Mikki! Enjoy!

Looks great Mikki! He is about half the price of RSC. BTW, he is certified by Rolex and keeps all his certifications current. Last time I spoke to him he had just returned from a watchmaking class by Rolex. The nice thing is you know you are getting real Rolex parts and the same service you would get from RSC in half the time and half the cost. I have not used him for service but several friends have with great results.

Oh yes. I was very happy that he was so knowledgable. We talked about the number of watchmakers who don't have nearly the expertise. He is a gem indeed.

See the job he did replacing the dial on my DJ?

He mentioned that people from TRF have been coming in recently, and talking about how they saw him on the Forums. We are lucky to have a community where we can recognize the great sellers and watchmakers and give them the respect they deserve.

Got it. Now I will need to either send it to Michael, or find another I think. Now I have a more clear idea why it didn't sell when I tried to. I think I'll keep it now that it looks so good :-)

I think it might be really pretty if I could find a bracelet in solid gold.

Thanks for posting the recommendation and pics Mikki. I live in Fairfax and will need to get some watches serviced soon. I have been on the search for a good local watchmaker.
