Strap suggestions for 1675

Hey folks. What color strap and style would you recommend for this 1675? 5.2mil serial, get only (obviously). Pics would help too ;-).

NATO or leather. You cannot go wrong with either material. I love the ODGreen NATO and a brown leather strap.

Anything will look good on that - leather, nylon, whatever!

Straps look great on vintage watches IMO.

I think a vintage GMT goes great with a distressed leather strap or NATO.

If it's not on bracelet I like mine on a white perlon, especially in summer

Hmmm. Dunno if the pic came through. Here's the link http://imgur.com/a/fFZ06

In my opinion there a not many straps matching a MATTE dialed, blue/red inlay 1675.
You can't say in general that this or that strap matches a matte 1675. It always depends on the patina and the colours/fading of the insert.

Some days ago I mounted a natural horween shell cordovan strap to my MKI.
It's ok, but not perfect...

One of my favourit combos for a 1675 is the following...black insert and black nato...

Next combo, quite OK, all black insert and dark brown side stich JPM/BulangAndSons VintageStrap...

Next combo, all black insert and black suede/leather nato...

That's all nice for a short change, but NOTHING can beat a matte 1675 on it's original Oyster 78360/7836/7206 IMO...

I'm a strap guy but the 1675 is rather difficult to pair with one. I think it feels right at home on a Jubilee, followed closely by an oyster. The blue/red insert is what makes the use of leather almost incompatible. I've tried it on a brown B&S leather but never kept it on for more than a few days.

I really love the olive, gray or brown natos on this one. You can get straps from the original milsub strap manufacturer over in the UK. Haven't tried them but....

I'm glad this topic has come up because I was thinking about adding a leather strap to my '68 GMT as well.

My question is...

Does the one stitch leather strap have any historical connection to the GMT or is it just popular because it's an attractive compliment to the watch?

Thanks all for the ideas and beautiful pics.

I'm currently using the strap I was originally using on my exp2 and have a myriad of NATOs. Going to get a few more. Here some pics I took yesterday.

Some better than others, of course - it's a pretty versatile model, but I try to choose carefully

Reviving this old thread because I want to get some more inspirations. I have the original 7836 bracelet and love the whole look it is super comfortable, but I also like the casual look of vintage GMT on strap.

Hoping to see more strap suggestions from folks. :)

Here is one I'm currently rocking: Bulang & Sons Siena Brown (short).

Personally, I would go for the distressed brown strap. But I am a bracelet person though.
