New purchase, vintage watch.........iffy clasp/bracelet!!!
I've bought this, and tbh am happy with my purchase but after going over it at home have hit a slight bump!
Single owner 1601 5.2 mil SN Purchased new in 1976 ish with box, warranty (blank) purchase receipt and wallet. Original tags All papers match Happy so far...... Nice condition silver dial o T SWISS T o dial, nice hands with all nice matching lume. Still happy.... Battered plexiglass, won't polish out, chip between 9 and 10 But I knew that! Still happy....... Clasp...... oh ffs, ehhh, Wierd.... On 555 endlinks, nice patent wording,62510 H, A date code A (still ties in with age) and then I look at centre rolex scroll..... balls that's not right! Everything feels right.... but my research shows it can't be :( Still happy with my purchase (and the price I paid) just a shame it looks like something is not right! Any confirmations on my thinking! |

I'm no expert on bracelets, but it seems right to me. "A" is the right code I believe for your year. What specifically looks wrong about it?

The clasp blade is aftermarket for sure. The large coronet is not correct.

I'm fairly certain that the bracelet is fake, or at least the clasp. Several things are wrong about it, but the dead give-away are the scrolls.
Read through this old link that spans several years, and it'll tell you pretty much everything you need to know about fake Jubilee clasps: https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=55405 (Ah, Springer beat me to it!) |

Centre scroll either side of crown, both sides match, symmetrical. :( on both parts of the clasp too hoping someone with more knowledge will confirm.

That's quite uncommon to have the original papers with the DateJust. Should you decide to source a vintage D-link bracelet, they're very easy to obtain.
