Gmt

I was offered this watch from a friend. He inherited it from his dad. It has no box or papers and he thinks it’s from the 60’s or 70’s. Any idea about value and condition of the watch from the pictures? Thanks guys!

Looks like a nice GMT - probably from the mid-to-late 1970s. If you would like further help, place some nice, clear photos here and keep the hands away from the dial writing and coronet at the top. Also a partial serial number would help dating the watch.

Also serial number lines up to a production year of 1978.

Looks like a very nice example, must be a late 5m serial?

If you're able, please set your focus to MACRO.

Nice watch. Those lugs are really nice and sharp indicating the watch was probably never polished. (A good thing.)

Cheers,
Mark

If you're trying to formulate a price here, I don't agree with this being a fuchsia insert.

No box and papers will unfortunately lower the value a bit. I would guess the actual cash value around $8k - $10k.

Or, just get the dial in focus.
