Vintage Trio

My Dad's old 5508 alongside a WW2 German pilot wrist compass and a Waltham GG-W-113 pilot watch.

My father-in-law found the compass in an abandoned and very run down house in Ontario, Canada.

The Waltham was an ebay find I picked up on the cheap as a fun piece to have in my rotation.

Interesting. First wrist compass I've seen like that.

Another gratuitous shot of the 5508.

Here's another shot of the compass showing the back side.

Each of these three

is amazing on their own, but that compass takes the cake in whatever group it's in. I would wear that one all the time and use my iPhone to tell time.

Wouldn't you miss the turn-by-turn voice commands from your GPS app?
