I bought a watch-winder for my DayDate

Which was, I suppose, a bit lazy . I bought a Wolf , because that's what my local Rolex store suggested. I know there are different views but Rolex seem happy enough with their use. And I feel...perhaps out of ignorance...that it is best to minimise use of the crown/winder mechanism.
Was this foolish? Although, perhaps I should have asked before I bought it.....

Long before watches had automatic movements people had to unwind crowns everyday and wind their watch and screw the crown back down. I don't really think you can screw up a current rolex movement by unscrewing the crown and winding as necessary.

With that said I really don't think you are going to be doing any harm having it on a winder either.

Enjoy your watch and wind it however you see fit =).

You should have. I would have offered to wear your watch and thus keep it powered for a lot less than the cost of the Wolf winder.

This question comes up more regularly then my kidney stones.... I have a winder and use it constantly. I like the option of keeping my watches on the correct time and date, I can just swap them out and ready to go. Am I Lazy? Yeah, probably, but I still like mine and your Wolf is an excellent model, congrats!
