The watch came with 557 end links and the correct bracelet 78350. Thoughts on getting 571 end links?

Just out of curiosity because I have yet to own one but may in the future.does the tritium that’s left glow, briefly glow, or totally dead? When exposed to sunlight or bright light? Its a beauty

The watch I hVe hasn’t been relumed. Very very faint. Nothing on the hands.
If you relume it will glow but hurt the value. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

The tritium on the manual-wind Daytonas should light up (glow) under UV/blacklight, but after exposure to normal bright light it should be faint, if at all, depending on the age of the watch.

Agreed. They should light up and gradually fade out at the same rate once UV light is removed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Congrats OP. The 6263 in black is also a personal favorite of mine! Looks like a very honest and lovely example.
As mentioned by Aaron, after exposure to a UV light, the lume does brighten up but then "die" very quickly. I have never owned a later example from the 80s, however I don't believe the lume would charge up under normal lighting. |

Wow, absolutely stunning watch. After the 6239 Paul Newman Daytona, this 6263 big red is my next dream watch.

Nothing beats a big red Daytona for vintage manual winds. Congrats and well done.
