Looks like mine. I think mine is 1970. Same dial as yours Mk I long E I think. What serial No is it?

Mine starts 206.

I see it has an open 6 datewheel same as mine. I was told mine should have an closed 6 datewheel for that year.

Just my unexpert observations.

Its the right dial for a 2.3 serial. Based upon the color that the lume has become, I would say there was moisture ingress at some point, get some pics of the movement. The insert appears to be from a nipple dial.

I would expect this to be at "a very good price" compared to a correct, crisp example. So you know he proper insert alone on this would cost around $3k, if you went fuschia it could be double that...

I have no idea who is selling this watch, but unless there is something suspicious about the seller, I would really try to get it. The key parts of the watch (dial, hands, case) are really appealing IMO. With the right insert and bracelet, it will be stunning. You just need to consider those costs in your budget.

Well it's not the screaming deal I assumed it was when you said it was offered at a "good price". Add in the cost of a good insert and bracelet, and then compare to similar items being sold. Assuming the case-back is original, it's probably in the right ballpark.
