What we will have on April 10th? Ok, first model will be presented... but will further plans and timeline of releases be announced?

Or we will see the first model, and you will continue to tease us... "Ohh guys but wait for 8th June then something really special is coming"...

No!

There's more fun in the chase and the speculation than there is in knowing. On April 11th no one will care, until then we have 10 more days of intrigue....

They said the collaboration will be based on lesser known characters from the comic books.. I don´t think we will get Captain America, Ironman, Spiderman or even Black Panther. I´m thinking more like Human Torch, Punisher, Bullseye, Elektra or maybe Ghost Rider.. flaming skull on Offshore would be cool! :D

I hope one exactly as it is, but made of ceramic - like the newest AP "Code".

Nope, I know nothing, but I like your wolverine idea, very useful :)

I'm sure AP hasn't made plans for its 29th edition of the Marvel Special editions yet, so maybe we can influence their thinking...

We all will find out soon. I just know that there won't be an Iron Man once from watching the AP Social Club video.

Just a thought that occurs to me...

For the first time in AP's lifetime (at least as far as I recall) we can now PREDICT AP releases.

A ROO 'Captain America', 'War Machine', 'Spiderman' etc etc etc are coming - We don't know when, but we can KNOW with a high degree of probability that they ARE coming. Get your orders in now, lol.

p.s.

AP don't take 'orders' for watches that don't exist, but carry on trying to place one anyway ;)

They have already ruled out Iron Man because it’s has been trademarked for something else apparently based on the video. So AP didn’t feel comfortable calling it the Tony Stark Watch etc hence the plan for any Iron Man edition won’t materialised for the near future.

I wonder how many have checked which other watch company got in the way of the Iron man Offshore - seems that the official watch of the Ironman races is, drum roll, TIMEX.

Between Iron Man and a Green Lantern, we're pretty well protected here on TRF.

Exactly. It doesn’t get more clearer than having the CEO says that there wont be Iron Man.

Clearly I'm not special enough to have been shown this one in advance.

Is it just *one* reference total? I'd have hoped for more...

In case any of you missed it, the details of the 'Live Reveal' are now on AP's web site, along with details of how to bid on a 'unique piece' and some 'celebrity experiences'.

I'll be on the golf course, so rest assured you won't be bidding against me :)

From the website: "To verify that you have the necessary funds available to bid, you must upload a bank statement or other financial documents such as a letter from your bank. There are two tiers of bidding; the first requires a minimum of $5,000 dollars in your account and the second requires a minimum of $350 000 dollars in your account."

will they take a statement of the kid's college savings accounts?

My problems run far deeper than 'placating' AP's requirements...I couldn't get Mrs GS93108's permission! Her response left me in no doubt!

Fortunately I'm already committed to the golf course at that time, which of course is the reason that a matrimonial tantrum didn't occur.

p.s.

I really did mention it to my wife, but before I could get the full words out she cut me off, not for one second giving me the benefit of the doubt that I wasn't really truly asking if I could bid on a watch that I knew nothing about, and that I was just updating her as to the AP release. The fact is that she knows that all things AP reduce my IQ and my ability to make any rational decisions. Thank heaven I'm married and NEED her permission to do things.

p.p.s.

Just for clarification, I have been stupid in the past, but now I've grown out of it, and my bank account has shrivelled commensurately, so a $350k AP is beyond my universe.

My excitement took a bit of a hit when I realized that the $5k min bid is not for an affordable watch, but for lunch with Serena Williams and a used tennis racket.

Judging by the invitation photo, it appears to be Thor. The lightning and the rock resembles his hammer

Saw it today as well. It is the character I thought it would be. Will give my opinion when it has been released publicly.
