IMHO not worth the hassle to change nothing wrong with the original acrylic crystal and have seen reports of the changes where they pass a pressure check but leaked after wearing for a few months. The only slight advantage is the sapphire is less prone to scratches. But even sapphire do scratch then very very difficult to remove the scratch and expensive to replace .While acrylic its quite easy to remove scratches plus the fact at normal routine service acrylic crystals are always replaced as part of service. As any DJ is not the most collectible of Rolex watches, but if the change from acrylic to sapphire of any of the sports line up then that would most certainly effect its value by quite a lot.

Any "high-end" watchmaker will probably refuse to put a sapphire crystal on an acrylic watch to begin with. It's not like they're just different materials; the whole design is functionally different. Just because it passed a pressure test doesn't mean it'll stay good for long. There's a reason everyone is advising against it.

It is not incorrect as it waterproof and fully pressure tested! It fits correctly unlike other bodge ups! And I have the original Rolex dial, acrylic glass and seal if I choose to revert back! Which is highly doubtful! Can afford to sell and go for the champagne diamond dot dial which is factory original Rolex along with box and papers, 1993 model 16233 on the other hand not that bothered as this watch is perfect! Don't feel the need to change but can afford to, either way I won't lose if I really want to I could buy the other watch and keep this beauty at the same time! And own two!
I don't know if it's just the photo but that does not look like an original dial. The 'DateJust' text just looks off to me.

This is my fathers DateJust. I'm not sure which model it is but he decided to have the acrylic glass replaced with a sapphire crystal. He had it changed to sapphire crystal simply because he's daily worn the watch since it was new and the acrylic had been replaced multiple times due to scratching so easily. In his situation he isn't worried about devaluing the watch as it will probably never be sold. Here's some pics of it next to my 116233.
