Yes I would say so. If you can fit a steel Rolex under your normal shirts, this is easy.

I didn’t realize that this watch is also available in white and yellow gold versions.

Congrats! I've seen this GS reference come up a few times on TRF discussions and those pictures make it easy to see why. Wear it in the best of health!

I'd love an update? I'm itching to pull this model into the collection! It's basically between this and a rebuilt 36mm datejust from the early 70's.

My wrist size is just north of 7",

What I like about this watch:
I like conservative sized watches
Manual winding
the power reserve
exhibition case back
the fact that it's Grand Seiko
price point
drilled lugs - in general this watch seems like it's versatile, can be a dress watch on leather, can be a casual watch with jeans or shorts on leather, how about a cloth strap?
I could go on but would rather hear it from someone who owns the watch.

How's the performance? How's it wear?

Hodinkee has this for sale on their website listed at MSRP. It's also on chrono24.

thanks!

Thank you!

Regarding an update, it’s been on my wrist most days since I’ve received it, running at +2 seconds a day. I think it’s extremely versatile and would look great on a variety of straps, including alligator, leather or even a Perlon strap. The strap size is 19/16, 115/75 from the factory, you can buy additional buckles for about $60 when in stock from Seiya Japan. The winding is very smooth, a touch over 20 rotations if you wind at about the same time everyday. If you like the size at 37.3mm, 44mm lug to lug, I wouldn’t hesitate.

Congrats. Have you been to Timeless Luxury Watches in Frisco? They are the largest volume GS dealer in the states.

After truly enjoying my Grand Seiko ownership experience, I knew I needed to pick up another one. I ended up with the SBGA375, it's quite a stunning watch in person.
