$250 Well Spent! Seiko SKX007

Hey guys and gals,

Well, I managed to get some spare time, buy in and and take a look over one of the best value for money watches over the past two decades.

Anyway, If you enjoy macro shots, and are keen to check out a more detailed review on one of the best watches available under $250, hit the link below:

If you don't like video, that’s cool, here's a summary for you:

- Dimensions of 42.5mm x 13.25mm.
- Lug to lug of 46mm means that this watch will sit well on just about anyone's wrist.
- Price is well below $250 USD, can confirm no waiting lists.
- Features a day/ date window.
- Dial is finished in matte black, with contrasting white markers, filled with lume that is good enough to make a mockery of my Rolex and Omegas.
- On the wrist comfort is pretty good overall, no real complaints.
- Details and finishing are not too bad overall, I did pick up some micro flaws on the hands, however these are only visible under close macro. When I consider the cost, the finishing is quite impressive.
- The movement isn’t the greatest out there, however its reliable, and can be easily regulated to improve accuracy if needed. Mine is running at 8.5 secs/ day fast, which I’m cool with. I won’t get it regulated. It beats away at 21,600vph and offers around 40hrs of power reserve.

One unique thing with these watches is that there is a huge modding community out there, so if you are Looking to try your hand at that or even keen to open up a watch and work on one, these provide a decent starting platform.

Great watch overall, that sits in the more casual/ sporty side of things, however can be dressed up a little or down with different straps. I think its definitely worth the $, and is a great watch for those looking to kick off their mechanical watch adventure or have a solid weekend beater to sit at the base of an existing collection.

Have a great week, and as always hit me up if you have any questions.
Cheers

Great review, beast of a watch and apparently bullet proof. What’s not to like?
