Bernard Watch Company - are they reputable?

Has anyone done any business with them? Thanks in advance.

No personal dealings with them but...they are the real deal.

Not sure how their service is...someone will have an experience to share...

Never bought from them but did send an email to them looking to buy a DJ II early this year but did not receive a respond. Poor communication caused them a lost sales but I don't think they care too much as they would have replied otherwise. Its actually a blessing in disguise for me as I contacted one of the trusted seller here instead and got what I wanted.

The guy made me a lousy offer on a trade-in but they do have some nice watches in inventory. Rolex prices seem much higher than you see here on the for sale forum, and not sure if they back sales with any warrranty.

I have bought two watches from them and would be comfortable buying again. My last purchase, as DJ, stopped working after two months of ownership. I contacted them and they gave the watch a full overhaul for free.

Bernard watch is solid

I just bought a 14060m sub from them. They answered all of my questions promptly ( even on the weekend ). The watch arrived on time and exactly as it was shown. I WILL be buying from them again...GREAT COMPANY.

Also, their prices and warranty are about as fair as you can get for pre-owned watches.

Another great experience...

Also bought a 14060 from Bernard a couple of years ago. The watch was advertised as "like new" and it was, indeed, indistinguishable from new.

Prior to that bought a Sea Dweller from them with the same experience.

So far so good from Bernard!

Bought an Omega from them. Good deal, the like new watch was like new. About three years later I tried to sell it back to them, and I give them credit, they remembered me and the watch, and low balled me. They took three or four hundred off the top, and said, "that's not bad for three years of rental."

I didn't take them up on their offer!

I have bought two watches from them in the past. Good service (I returned one because it jus did not sing to me and they did not cause any issues). They do however tend to be higher on price than prices you can find on this forum and their trade-in offers are not strong.

I bought my YM from them. My very first Rolex. The price was fair based on what I have seen on this site although it may have been listed for a couple hundred less here-- but that one was sold.
The YM picture was accurate and the watch was in good condition on the outside. The movement I think needs some work-- based on how the hands move when I adjust the time-- it's very touchy. I didn't know it was an issue until I bought my 2nd Rolex.
I was/am unaware of any Bernard "warranty"... GuyC's post saying "Also, their prices and warranty are about as fair as you can get for pre-owned watches." this is news to me.

Bought a sub from them two years ago - good experience, and if I were to ever go grey again, I would go to Bernard.

I've bought a few from them over the years. They are highly reputable, and I've always found their service is great. They are my go-to brick & mortar recommendation for friends and newcomers who may not be comfortable buying from an independent seller.

I purchased a 6-digit sport model from Bernard Watch several years ago. The transaction was very smooth from start to finish. A+ service, and a reasonable price. Everything was as promised, and I can highly recommend them.

I have dealt with Jeff the owner of Bernardwatche since the 90s. Good guy but I have not bought from him in a while. They are reputable and have very good selection. If you think the prices are too high, in my past experience, he will work with you. Hope this helps. You can tell him that Ed Salem recommended him.

Back from the dead....their communication, or basically no communication, leads me to not want to deal with them. Sorry to report.

I bought a 2 year old "like new" Explorer from them 9 months ago and thought it was a stellar buying experience. Excellent customer service, watch arrived the next day, exactly as described and was indistinguishable from brand new. I though the prices were fair too, considering no sales tax. I saved about $900 vs walking into an AD - if I could even get an Explorer from an AD.

I'd absolutely buy from them again.

My only tiff with them, as many others have stated, is their low, low buying prices. Especially considering what you see them selling for. I moved to Austin a few years ago and was super psyched when I heard about them but I have never been able to do business with them because they are not realistic with their offers.
