Rolex. Explain. Why.

How do you explain your Rolex to friends or co-workers, who politely ask you why.
.
Just wondering.

Either you get the love of watches or you don't. I'm fine either way.

I’ll have to get back to you once I get mine. But I would tell them I liked it so I bought it.

I'd just ask them why they wear what they wear...then walk away like a boss!

I don’t owe anyone an explanation as to what I spend my money on. That’s my take.

MUST remember that

--------------------

Because i can beat the living sh*t out of it and it keeps working. Service times are also only a few weeks, NOT many months like other foofy brands some of my friends seem enamored with.

Plus there's a Rolex model for virtually all the outdoor activities my muse/wife and i enjoy. Flying to Europe, we got SkyD / CNHR. Attending an automotive race and hanging out in the pits with my driver friends, Daytona. Visiting relatives in Alaska and climbing / hiking glaciers, the Polar. Going scuba diving in the Bahamas or Maldives, got a Sub.

Or just ask them which wrist looks happier (h/t newu5er)

First off, that question would be very presumptuous coming from anyone let alone a friend or coworker. That said, I would politely respond with a question, "oh, why do you ask?" That would be the end of the convo.

This!

Simply why not?!

A Rolex is such a better value than any other and especially cheaper watch.
If you need cash, you can sell your Rolex in a heartbeat even many years after purchase - try this with an Applewatch, Timex, Daniel Wellington etc., they are all worth nothing even after a short period of time.
