Icon9 No UK ads in classified ?

Have i missed something ? . . . why is there never any UK ads in classified ??

Is there any trusted UK forums with mainly UK sellers ? I'm coming at this from a buying and selling viewpoint, as I have a Tudor Black bay bronze to sell but hesitant to pay for upgrading my account if no UK buyers look at the classifieds.

It seems that sports models sell in the UK before the owner can even finish typing the ad, perhaps that's a reason for so few watches listed from over there.

Be that as it may, the access to the sales corner is a very small part of why we become pledge members at TRF, so you would certainly be most welcome to pledge even if the watch ends up being sold by other means.

I appreciate that fact and have had good advice from this forum. Will certainly look into becoming pledge member . .

Yes, more so on TZ-UK altho I think buyers there squeeze prices. I actually bought my second Rolex from the Classifieds here, it was in London so naturally the seller was an Aussie.

... just been on TZ, thought I had registered years ago but couldn't remember log -in so registered again. They are strict on when you can use sales corner . . . will be months and I have to make a whole load of posts

Good for weeding out scammers, crap if you want to sell something this year. Ebay it is then ...

Why not try on here?
For a small outlay to Pledge, it'll be much cheaper than giving eBay and PayPal 10 times as much!

Not true, I posted a mint, unworn, D-Blue for sale at £9500, (https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=548264) I only had one enquiry from a member at the opposite end of the country. After a couple of weeks I put it on Ebay and sold it in a couple of days for more than I was offering it for on here (worked out a deal outwith Ebay ).
I realise I had never sold on here before so the lack of interest may have been a trust thing, I was however willing to deliver in person, and meet at an AD to have the watch authorised.

Jeez Nigel,

That is bad luck.

I'll send you the 25 dollars if it helps you out.

Just PM me.

Just remember me when you sell it.

Eddie.

Think of the ability to sell as a bonus of a Pledge. For me, it's the cheapest possible annual entertainment fee. I've posted a few watches for sale and actually sold away from TRF, but it has led to a few great connections. The more UK members that join and trade the better. It can only grow.

Forgot about them, I've sold some straps on there before. I'd sell there before ebay, and on ebay only cash on collection at a bank.

Also Watch Turf as been said, altho I only knew them as Newturfers back then.
