Awesome review. I’m shopping for my first sport Rolex and this pushed me twords going with the no-date. I’ve debated this watch or the GMT Master II in black but now that watch is a “collectors” piece. Now to find a no-date local to me.

Thoroughly enjoyed your review, thanks for taking the time. I’m coming up on 1 year with my Sub and I would say I have a similar love affair with this watch. I wear it exactly 1/3 of the time as I rotate weekly between three watches but I always love the weeks when I have the Sub on.

Great review, it was a joy reading it.
I agree the scratches and "battle scars" give personality to the watch. I can tell by your review this is a special piece in your collection and dare I say it has some sentimental value attached to it; priceless and timeless. Enjoy it for many years to come! |

In a perfect world every watch lover should be required to buy or be given a steel date model sub. it should be a right of passage since the days of the early 007 movies

Great review, I bought mine for many of the same reasons you explained in the review. After 5 months with it love it more everyday in my humble opinion Rolex Sub C is at least in the top three Rolexes. I bought originally the Sub C date, but never grew on me and decided to sell it after a few weeks decided to sell it, when got my 114060 it was love at the first sight, I adore the symmetry, balance and beauty of this watch.

Nice review, feel the same about my Sub/C now 8-years old. Wore a 1680 exclusively for 35+ years prior. Those that wear a Rolex Submariner in rotation with anything else, really and truly don't get it! Enjoy!

Thanks again for the thoughtful review. I agree it’s a helluva watch and one of my favourites to wear as well. I hope you start posting here some time again. |
