1968 Ladies Datejust - Where to Service
I should have known better after lurking on this forum, but I had to learn the hard way. My 1968 Ladies' Datejust Oyster was just returned by the Dallas RSC with a statement that they could not service it. They recommended Fairchild (also in TX) and we had the good sense to call them first - they say they can't service it either. It isn't having any major issues or needs any cosmetic repair, just runs about 1 minute slow every couple of days and its dirty. I also need 1 link removed from the bracelet (my local Rolex dealer is scared to touch the old-style oyster bracelet). I really like this watch and I just simply want it serviced properly so I can wear it - its really my first ever luxury purchase and I want to enjoy it.
Any suggestions as who would be the best for this vintage model? I see a lot of names on this board but I don't know if there is someone in particular you all would recommend. I live in mid-west TN. |
