Hello All,

I am almost ready to sell my Rolex. However, I am not a watch dealer nor have a reputation that a lot of the members who buy/sell on these forums do as well.

I have an EBAY account with perfect feedback (However, no feedback for large transactions such as an expensive watch like a Rolex). Additionally, I think the users of these forums would be skeptical as well considering I do not have any references. (Personally, I would be skeptical too!)

I have a ....... w/ box, no papers.

What do you guys recommend I do so that I get the fairest price possible. My goal is to get close to market value; however, I understand that this may not be possible due to my perceived reputation via online...

Any advice or insight would be much appreciated!!

Sell it on here IMHO. You need to be a pledge member to do so though. Ebay also has restrictions so you may have an issue there.

The other thing here is that you are such a new member. If you become a pledge member and take many high quality pictures, your posting may interest people here. If you find a long time trusted member you may be shipping first and getting paid afterward.

When I was new to this I did that very thing with Tony (Justrolexes) and it all worked well. Sometimes trust works both ways.

Agreed,

Several ways to check who is good under who's who and of course references. Always best to do as much research as possible but there are some great members here.

You have to start somewhere. Become a pledge member and list it. Be very honest and upfront with the listing. Encourage questions and build a rapport with your potential customers.
