Great review! It's a shame that the prospex homages aren't as close and just wouldn't scratch the itch the same way the 017 would. There's just something about the case proportions and retro dial/hands that make the 017 a beautiful watch.

Agreed on the waffle rubber. I thought I'd love the MM300 clasp/bracelet since I'm typically a bracelet guy, but find myself wearing my own MM300 on that rubber--IMO, Seiko's waffle rubber is one of the best looking on the market.

I took this shot Friday afternoon with my Smartphone for my "wristshot of the day." While not the best shot, I love the way the only text that the camera resolved was the SEIKO logo... what a clean look
