Cartier Santos Green

Just went to check this out. Dial color is hard to pick up. Sorry for the bad pics.

Thank you I’ve been wanting to see one. I heard the green goes from black to grey to green, your pics seem to show that.

At a first glance it looks disappointing, I expected a true and vivid GREEN dial, and not something that could be call green from some angles.

I was looking forward to this one, but I agree, I wanted it a bit more vibrant.

I like that this one doesn’t have any cumbersome date window.

A good looking watch. I have yet to buy a Santo but have been close several times. I still like the white dial followed by the blue.

Because it’s the medium size. The large has the date window.

Yes, it's definitely different colors depending on the light.

I really liked it. It is not a bright green. More a blueish green to my eye in certain lights. If I didn't already have the white dial, I would have picked it up

Carrier watches are so incredibly elegant. That's a nice shade of Green as well, and just from the image I can tell it has a lovely sunburst dial. For me personally I'm all for the fact it changes colour a bit based on lighting, angle, etc. It keeps things interesting, but can see why some wouldn't like that. Thanks for sharing, Michelle!

Held one at my AD last week. It was hard to find a light in which it actually looked green. Appears to be black or dark grey. AD advised that the customer consensus in basically disappointment.

Really? I had heard that a lot of people like it and some boutiques and ADs had a waiting list. It's not as easy to see the green as it is to see the blue on the blue dial version although both dials are rather dark. However, as someone who has never been that interested in watches with green dials I actually liked the one I saw this past weekend. They only had the medium, but I might have been tempted if they had the large version.

Not a joke and I have a decent purchase history at that boutique. He claimed that even several billionares were "denied", at that point I just laughed and walked out.

I think it looks good, I will try to get one soon in medium size.

I like to wear this green in green alligator strap.

Wow, that's really interesting. I got mine two weeks ago from my AD, and I have seen them both in the case at other ADs. I suppose the concentrated demand at boutiques must be what's the big issue.

Sure, here you go. It’s extremely comfortable as all santos are. The dial comments are true, you will be disappointed if expecting a green that pops. It is mostly dark but will give you that green in direct sunlight. It’s very hard to photograph the green as all santos has very reflective due to curved sapphire and maybe no AR? I am 6.6 wrist and unfortunately they don’t make my preference for santos sizing, Lardium.
