Overcompensating..?
So...I let my 5711 blue go and then this happened. Perhaps I am overcompensating? Need to probably sell some
If you didn’t know about price, which blue dial would catch your eye first? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I dont think any of those (or accumulative) could compensate a 5711A Blue...
To your question: the seiko closest. |

You let the 5711 go for a third GS? Different strokes I guess.

So you ditch a Patek to go all in on Seikos?
Ballsy move, and I’m sure many here can recommend a good therapist, but then variety is the spice of life! The Shippo Enamel has an unfair advantage as it’s foremost and lighting highlights its dial more than the rest. All viewed optimally, then the SBGH may garner more curiosity due its dial pattern, even though we all know the grandeur of the FPJ CB. |

Overcompensating..?
Restive reparation is my diagnosis - after the 5711 was gone you had “the blues” in a bad way.
No preference for any of the ones you show. Judging from your past preferences for blue dialed watches, you may need to seek the one not in the image - a Bluesy! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Yeah, if a blue dial is what you’re after, nothing really compares to that of the 5711.

To be clear - I let the 5711 blue go for the 5711r - didn't think 2 nautilus made sense. I don't miss it that much to be honest. However I think I overdid it with the Grand Seikos/Seikos.
Thinking of everything above, I might keep the Journe CB long term. THe 5522 I am probably waiting for the right time to sell. The others are kinda of cheaper toys that I let go soon. |

The two in the middle stand out to me for obvious reasons. Given the secondary pricing the CB is the one I would likely be inclined to keep although it would not be my personal choice for a journe.

In this photo the presage looks lovely but I think the hands on the Journe are what stand out to me. How about a Laurent Ferrier blue dial?

If I didn't know about price, the order in which these watches would catch my eye are literally from the cheapest to the most expensive. The presage is striking. The 267 has a crazy intricate dial. I would then move on to the 387 to see how the dial plays with the light. The remaining two would get a passing glance...

Journe for me. I'm seriously smitten with that piece right now and it's on my short list. Beautiful movement, interesting material, unique hands, and what a blue dial!

Forgetting about price, and just giving a reaction, I love the Seiko! The enamel dial is beautiful.
