Please do.

I know nothing of the market in Japan or the shop you mention.

Makes sense for Rolex to be using more green on their products. It's nicely accented on these pieces, like the gmtiic

I can confirm that these are genuine and from rolex, not aftermarket.
My father in law bought one white and one black from hanshin/hankyu department store at the beginning of this year which are currently in his collection.
also they were on the rolex website around the same time as he picked them up.

Thanks for the confirmation Adam, I hope to get my hands on one soon!

I Am Totally Confused Now

Earlier today I received an e-mail from Paul Riley at Rolex USA that went like this;

Sam,

This TOG is after market watch. Rolex never made a TOG with a green sweeping hand. P.S. if you have any questions please give me a call.

I called Paul and we discussed a few things for about 15-20 mins, one being the obvious that Rolex creates green themed pieces to commemorate the 50 year anniversary of a range (GMT, Sub, Milgauss, etc). He then went on to solidify his stance that the green limited edition TOG I am looking for is totally bogus. My confusion comes in that I highly doubt an AD like Lexia Ginza in Japan would sell an aftermarket Rolex in their shop. I am still waiting for my colleague to get back to me if he is able to track the black dial green TOG one in Osaka for me. I am hoping my discussion with Paul is a classic example of one region not understanding the other regions market... Please note I informed Paul that I would post a portion of our discussion here on this forum.

Adam (caballero) if you read this I may also need your help as well, I have been informed that the hanshin/hankyu department store you mentioned is equivalent to a Macy's department store in the Americas... Are they an AD?

Am I alone in thinking that I'd love to see Rolex put the rhodium dial with green romans that they're doing for the DJII's on this watch? If they ever make that combo I'm going to FIND A WAY to get one sent to me.

You might be the only one , I am still aggresively trying to track down this green sweeping TOG, the fact that RUSA is telling me it doesn't exist but the watch was a limited production make me want this sooner than later. My current short list is a complete T<25 1655, black mop 118235, and Hulk but this TOG has taking over in what's next on my list... To be continued...

Mini-Update!

I stand corrected, my colleague and I confirmed tonight with Rolex Tokyo (+81-3-3216-5673) that Rolex only produced 600 pieces in the green sweeping hand! I also received a few more pictures, hopefully the next time I post something about the green sweeping hand TOG I would have acquired it!

Looks sweet Sam
Is there a rhyme or reason for these 600?
And any idea the serial number batch?
Hope you will get one soon and Good Luck.

imono I am unsure how Rolex came up with their 600 number, I am also unsure on serial batch number although in one of the pictures I posted earlier seemed like a D serial. Thanks for you well wishes. I will keep you and the TRF family posted

It is nice to hear Rolex Japan has confirmed that this TOG is indeed real. I find is somewhat surprising that Rolex USA had no idea this watch existed. What if you brought this watch in for servicing? What would Rolex USA reaction be? Would they service it?

They would insist on bringing it back to "original" at your expense.

Maybe so considering they didn't even know these watches existed!

So RSC will just automatically toss out the Green Second Hand and Date wheel and bring it back to USA standards with Red.
This would be a good story to tell our kids years from now.

I am sure the moderators and some folks here know that some Rolex executives and staff visit this site, I just personally received a call from Paul Riley (RUSA) apologizing that he gave me incorrect information on the green hand TOG. We spoke for about 4 mins when he ended the conversation like this... and I quote "If you or your friends on The Rolex Forums" purchase the green TOG and you bring it to the RSC in NY we will not replace the green hand for a red one" I said to myself WTF then saw some of the quotes here... funny! That was one call I was not expecting... See guys big brother is watching! The countdown now begins until I can have another incoming thread! HAGD all!

Nah Sam I would have gotten my butt kicked and stomped into a mud puddle here if I had started a teaser thread on a Rolex I can't pick up until the 20th.

Ooooops. Flame away all but please know that nobody is more impatient about this than me.
