Battery Replacement UK
Hi All
Does anyone have experience of having a battery replaced on a ladies Seamaster 300M? My colleague has just been quoted £180 to get hers done which seems a bit steep. Has anyone else had to pay this much and/or does anyone have any pointers on where to go for a more reasonable rate? Thanks James |

Hey stranger,
That’s criminally expensive! To give you a yardstick - Timspons new battery and re-seal is £89. Not used them myself but a household name at half the price. I used someone local (who I trust implicitly) and was <£50. Hope you’re well. It’s been a while. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Hey
Great to hear from you! All well here thanks. The little ones are keeping me on my toes but that's a good thing (mostly!). How are you? Thanks for the advice, I'll pass that on. J Quote:

I’ve used a local independent jeweller twice at about £50 a time, and most recently went to Timpsons in the local Sainsbury’s, paid about £90 for lifetime battery changes.
The jeweller had the watch for about a week each time, so possibly sent it away. Timpsons did it in about twenty minutes, with the only downside being they only pressure tested the watch to 100 metres, not 300. Mine’s the 300m full size. |
