I actually saw this episode of Antiques Roadshow when it originally aired last year....it is great...and what an absolutely stunning example and completely a full set as one could possibly want.

Thanks for sharing. Great segment, but I wish the appraiser had discussed the actual watch just a little. The lume looked greenish, and the bezel looked more like a "Coke" instead of a "Pepsi." I guess that's just the aging/patina process on these old GMTs.

I would have asked the guy about the service history and whether Rolex had ever suggested replacing any of the original parts. What an amazing vintage GMT.

Hands are for sure service parts as the minute hand is short. It does also look like a matte service dial but it could just be the picture fooling me. I wish you could see the text in the bottom but I would still guess it is a matte service dial as the lume looks similar to the changed hands. Other than that it looks very sweet with a nice case and a killer bakelite.
