The difference was the change in movement. The Fat Lady had a 3085 movement, an upgraded 3075 movement that incorporate an independent 12-hour hand. The upgrade from the 3075 movement made the 3095 movement thicker, and this the proportionally thicker case (along with the first GMT movement with a sapphire crystal other than the all gold 18k GMT). The 16710 utilises an upgraded 3185 movement that utilised a full balance bridge and smaller balance wheel that resulted in a thinner movement and a correspondingly slightly thinner case. FWIW, I have a comparison posted at https://www.minus4plus6.com/16760.php ~ Sheldon
