5513 Help Please
Howdy all -
Hoping for a sanity check before I pull the trigger on a meters first 5513. The serial number and case back put this as a 1966 5513 made in the sixth quarter of the year. Any glaring issues with this one? Thanks! |

there is no 6th quarter of 66 -- but VI is as i understand it a well known error in Rolex stamping.
FWIW, i thought watch looked good (think this was just on Ebay), but i opted for a 1970 non-serif over the weekend that i'm expecting any day now. |

This is my watch that you just purchased on ebay. Any questions or concerns I would love to hear? I'm interested why bid and win and then ask questions?

Very nice looking meters 1st
I think you did well. I'm guessing it's a 1.5 or 1.6 mil serial?

This post wasn’t meant to question the integrity of v.lats. I did not want to post while the auction was live out of concern that any discussion could influence other buyers in positive or negative ways. This watch is a significant transaction for me so I was just doing final diligence before sending funds.

Great example. Nice and raw, in a good way. Sick case. Look at those crown guards. I had been following that listing myself, and the only thing that gave me pause was the wear on the hands. But that's what happens to them sometimes.
Congrats! |
