SS DaytonaC white legibility after less than one week

Just to share my experience after less than a week with SS Daytona white.
I have been fortunately enough to have the opportunity to purchase it at MSRP in a short time.
Considering that I had an appropriate life event, great relationship with AD, really liked it in pictures and the size trying it in PM that were in AD, plus the exclusivity factor (honestly), I asked for it and I got it.
After less than a week wearing it, while I like it, sometimes I really have to look at it twice to read the time with such a crowded dial, not sure if is the kind of lighting or light angle.
Previously I had a DJ36 white and an Exp and I did not have that kind of problem. As side note I am currently needing +1.5 readers.

Not sure how this will end, maybe I will get used to it and will be happy. I hope...

This is quite common with us older members.
I owned a white dial Daytona for less than a month. In some lights, I could not tell you what time is was. Dial was much too busy and too illegible for me. It had to go.
To those who say use your phone to tell time, I call BS. I'm not spending upwards of 10K on a nice bracelet.

It’s more of a lighting issue with the Daytona. I have a Navi which is way more crowded, but probably more ledgible.

I agree. This is a problem.

PM me. I'll take it off your hands at MSRP + whatever tax you paid.

I know a salesman at an AD that can’t read his new Daytona, but he bought and wears it because it’s desired by the public. If you can’t read it, I’d sit on it and sell it double price in a year or two. You haven’t lost a thing.

I had a 116520 for a short while. Sold it (mainly) because of this problem.

I agree completely regarding the legibility issues. I've had the C500 white for the last four weeks.

The chrono function is basically illegible when doing activities which only provide for quick glances at the dial such as driving etc. There is just no contrast between the white subdial body and the silver. Likewise the silvered minute and hour hands are also illegible when glancing at the watch.

I don't rate the white Daytona as a functional chrono tool watch at all. But for day-to-day normal watch usage and general beauty, I rate it 10/10.

Same here......had the chance to pick up a Daytona on a number of times in the past when prices were a bit more reasonable and there was nothing like the hype of nowadays. Passed on each instance though because I just could not get used to the dial....just too much on it!
