Bendy already has his Skydweller listed for sale on eBay. Almost clicked the buy it now but then had to come back to reality and think hmmm how will I pay for this...

Sam based off your current collection I would think the wg on a bracelet or the rose gold on a strap. You already have the yg GMT Master...... So which did you select?

Another vote for the Rose gold…
Well the white gold is stunning and the yellow is just perfect
It’s really complicated

Love the RG but would like it on a bracelet.

Do you just share pics with friends and family so they can choose for you, or do you hide in your cave and make a decision yourself? What if you are indecisive do you get all three? Hmmm.... Complex you say?
It is a delicate choice only you can take and there is no turning back!

I'd go WG or YG on the SD. I seem to be in the minority but I'd undoubtedly go bracelet on such an unreal piece...

hmmmm.....tough call. any of the 3 would be magnificent to add to a collection. i wouldnt consider myself a purist so maybe my decision is wacky but i would lean towards WG.

Holy smokes Batman!! You must be so stoked. Congrats buddy I am super Happy for you.

My vote goes for the WG. I get the impression that your initial preference was with WG, Sam and you should always go with your gut instinct!

I like the WG... especially the Roman numerals.

Having said that, the RG also is sweet... can't beat that contrast of the RG arabic numerals against that gorgeous chocolate dial... and that leather strap does add elegance and class!

Icon7 Hahhahahahahahahahah!

Final Special Cameo from Feeling the Blues aka The Master Watchmaker!

Seems like I have caused quite the commotion here!

So much so that the boys in blue were called in to calm the crowd!

Kids were worried!

At the end of the day everyone will be left happy as this story is coming to a conclusion...

Sit back and enjoy the rest of the show!

Too funny boss! Hope all is well on your side and I know what you are going to say... Take off the damn stickers!

This was a very tough choice for me as I acquired both the WG and RG versions a few weeks ago! Both pieces are phenomenal and the perfect baby steps for the Rolex brand to start making complicated timepieces! At the end of the day the below won out for me!

I've been giving a lot of thought to Ken's theory that an annual calendar BELONGS on a strap.

I can see the argument for a lot of houses, especially since that's the way it's always been done. But, the SkyD is different. It's a Rolex and it's an oyster. I think the "traditional" rules don't have to apply here. It's a new watch and it's been done the Rolex way.

So, I'm comfortable saying that, even though I respect Ken's input a lot, especially since he's handled many more fine pieces in the flesh than I have, with the SkyD, I feel a bracelet is perfectly appropriate.

And, therefore, I am sticking with my gut feeling. To me, the WG is the nicest for me. I've hand the chance to try one on, and it's heaven on the wrist.

Sam - wherever this ends up, I'm psyched for you and I know you'll have made the right choice for you. Can't wait to see! Great thread.

Wow this is some incoming thread. Two SKD ?

As for the argument that an annual calendar should be on a strap, I think the Patek Nautilus 5726/1A-001 settles that one.

Congratulations to both of you.

Jay, you are very knowledgeable and I would love the chance to speak horology with you if you ever make the trip to NY. I love the 5726 and all references of horology. The annual calendar comment was from two very well respected folks our very own Ken (my mentor) and Mr. Michael Safdie ;-) When those historians speak I listen!

I definitely respect your keen and analytical eye! You really do see everything... I set the time difference to Cairo Egypt!

You have been very patient my friend the WG has already moved to a close collector/friend, however, here is a pic! Good thing we have the same wrist size!
