Serti Dial on a 116610LV

What are your thoughts? I kind of like it. Any idea where I can acquire one of these dials?

taken from this auction

Looks better than I would expect, but it's not for me either. If you like it though, go for it.

Not sure where you get one of these dials. I wouldn't mind trying it on mine, but definitely not going to buy it off ebay.

Oh look another Longhorn! hook 'em.

To OP -- I think that is awesome, but I am also obsessed with lighter-faced dials.

I do not know where to find official parts, but there is a dealer here in ATL who has a collection. I saw a mother of pearl version with onyx and diamonds on a black sub and thought it was really unique (in a good way). I understand it is not for everyone, but it is an option...

It's a different take on the green Sub motif. Will never get an RSC service and the price is high for a Franken...

The Mugars prolly had the dial made to boost profit on the item.

Hmmm, I actually quite like the look, but would only consider that dial if it was original from the Rolex factory. The auction indicates that this isn't the case.

Keep your LVc dial if you intend to service your watch through RSC.

Not a fan of diamonds on sport watches. I have diamond markers on my DJ though.

I don't dig it but then again I don't dig Serti dials in general. But it's your money spend it how you want.

Hook Em Longhorn!

I only have 2 rolex watches with Diamonds, my DD and my WG sub and I must say that I think the WG sub looks great with diamonds.

Do what you want if you like it!

That's the first LV that I like. To bad the dial is not by Rolex.

Looks aside, getting it serviced by RSC with an aftermarket dial will be a problem.

Again, problem with this is you cannot read the time accurately in dim condittions.

I have seen that dial on older 16610 subs before. I would start with flee bay or google sub serti dials. A few companies make those. Goodluck.

Doesn't look as bad as I thought it would when I seen the thread title. However, I think the green dial on the 116610LV is one of the great things about the reference.

I actually kind of like it. Though in a room filled with Rolex owners I'd be reluctant to wear it.

It's decent looking, I've seen these dials for sale on eBay, but it instantly devalues your sub. Besides, the best serti dial ever made was the slate serti. One of my Holy Grails I hope to run into someday.
