Bought one rolex, now I want another.

I just purchased the 39mm rolex explorer and I absolutely love it. It is just a clean, classy watch that goes great with a suit or any other wear.
That said, as much as (or because of) I love my explorer so much, I'm now lusting after a more fun model for the weekends. I tried on the explorer 2 with the white dial and the no date submariner last night, and they are both amazing. If the explorer 2 didn't have the cyclops I'd be all over it. I just feel that the magnified date bubble makes the watch a little too blingy. The submariner is pure class, and it's cerachrome bezel is flawless. My only misgivings with the sub watch is I wish that it was just a tiny bit bigger. Decisions, decisions.
I will say, I used to think that cycling was an expensive hobby, but this could get dangerous.

Congrats! I find that I have to take a vacation away from this site, otherwise I start feeling obsessed on picking up another Rolex.

Welcome to the addiction.

Have you looked at the SeaDweller? No cyclops either...

welcome to the club. and not the rolex club, because that is silly.

i am referring to the nuthouse club. looking forward to seeing your next watch.

agree with Sam, if you want bigger than the sub, check out the Explorer II 42mm.

My first and second Rolex were purchased two weeks apart.

Rickn, you just described the DSSD as the watch you're looking for!

I would agree on the DSSD being one that might fit the bill the best: Big, date without the magnifying lens, ceramic.

The Sub may get bigger soon...ahem, cough, cough...Baselworld. There, I said it...

But do not buy yet - wait until Spring to see what Rolex rolls out for a 50th Daytona Anniversary edition.

You'd appreciate the Daytona if you cycle for hours...

Welcome!

I know you said that you do not like the cyclops and that you wanted a sportier watch. However, to give a bit of colour, why don't you consider a DateJust II? Some dial/numerals combinations are quite stunning!

The fact is that if you do not like the cyclops your options are limited to a Black Sub or a DSSD.

30 years for the first one, 25 for the second and less than 2 for the third.
Fortunately, I don't like the 6 digit much.
