Rolex 6538 dial issues
I recently inherited a Rolex 6538 submariner and was wondering what should be done about the dial. It has a "turn-o-graph" dial currently on it, but I would like it to at least appear original. I have been having a super hard time finding original dials, and do not know of any service dials that are available. Is it a good idea to leave it as is, or should I look for a replacement dial instead. I would like to retain as much value as possible so let me know, Thanks. Also, what are your thoughts on just putting a 6536 dial on it since the service dials for them seem to be pretty common.

Finding a nice original dial will not happen. Personally I wouldn’t spend thausands of dollars for a service dial. I would look into getting a professionally refinished good looking gilt dial that resembles the original. I would then let the refinisher shape up and relume your current hands and then you would have a nice looking big crown to wear.

Ok thanks, do you know of any reputable refinishers?

I'd just get rid of it.
