What’s good range for Pepsi K Serial?
Been on the hunt for a GMT II Pepsi K serial. What am I looking at paying for one? Since I know they’ve gone up in price

If you're looking to buy it and keep it for years then it's worth whatever you're willing to pay. Some examples are overpriced for the condition but very few seem to be barn finds if listed online. Sellers usually know good starting prices.
It also depends on what's included since box and papers will demand more than a watch without. You're going to have to research this on your own. And, you can always try to negotiate. Why a 'K' serial specifically? |

I would say anything in the $9k range or so unpolished to minimal polishing, sharp lugs along with B&P's seems to be a good deal nowadays from a reputable seller. K series is the last year of lug holes (or might be the year after that) and the first year of laser etched sapphire crystal. A lot of clean examples seem to be more so $10k & up usually.

$10K should get you a nice full set, less without boxes/papers.
However ... like anything, it would all come down to condition. No two old watches will be the same, of course. There are so many factors. Hunt around. There are some nice examples out there, but also some dogs with sellers asking too much. |

A local shop has this Pepsi K Serial for 8,500. What do you all think? Does everything check out?

The insert looks aftermarket. It looks like a certain mid-'90s 16700 insert but being out-of-focus makes it harder to call. If it is aftermarket then it's hard to say what else is going on with it internally. It could have been serviced with aftermarket movement parts as well.
Is that price with or without papers? |

This does not look like a mid 1990’s and it has the Swiss made on the bottom. I believe but can be corrected by folks more expert than I, but the tritium change over came in the late 90’s. So this may be from late 90’s to early 2000? Looks polished to me.

I'm only talking about the insert. It's not a mid-'90s watch. This is a K serial circa 2001.

Here's my P-serial (2000) for comparison. It was serviced by Rolex last year and the bezel insert was replaced by Rolex.

Im no expert but it looks good from what i see. K serial 01/02 SEL, lug holes decent bracelet? I wouldnt lose any sleep over the bezel at that price. Was it originally born with a pepsi bezel ? 16710 'B' on warranty card. Good Luck

Looks ok to me too from those lousy pics. Nothing jumps out as wrong. Fro this reference, I’m not too concern about the insert, as so many were replaced by rsc themselves. I believe it’s stated on the paper whether it’s black, coke or Pepsi. Regardless, they r $60 a piece from rsc.
As for the price, with b & p, it’s actually not bad in today’s market. If u can get it down a few bills, u just scored. I blame it on autoconnect. |

Ok, that looks better. Insert is circa mid-'90s if memory serves. That threw me since it was out-of-focus and some of the numbers looked like the typical aftermarket suspects.
Looks good overall, especially for the price. |

So since it’s a K serial this can’t be the original insert correct? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

A lot of the early original 2000 era Pepsi’s have developed to salmon colored bezels I had seen on here.

Any watch at the $10k is not just a watch to own, but also a watch to keep for a longer time, but then its a k serial.

My gut says it's not original to the watch but I could be wrong. It's still a genuine part though. |
