What a collection, Danny!

I’m not at your level yet, but I just bought my first two bottles in the last month, and I already have my nose set on a few more. This is a whole new rabbit hole! 🤦🏻*♂️

tried to like it, but much rather prefer the offerings from pehaligons.

The manufacturing process uses a lot of ingredients is my guess. But then again it has some staying power to it as well, a benefit from they way it's made.

I like Penhaligon’s as well. I have been using English Fern. Which ones do you use?

I don’t own any....yet. I’m stuck on Issey Miyake and YSL L’Homme right now. I did get a chance to smell some Creed colognes and the Aventus impressed me most

Nice! Impressive selection.

I like some of them but haven’t been able to justify the price point, especially since I can’t have the smell longer around too long ( long meetings in closed rooms, some people don’t appreciate it).

I am sticking with the ‘cheap’ stuff, currently enjoying Cartier Pasha, Versace ( light blue bottle, can’t remember the name), Chanel Bleu, Prada, and a couple more.

i know its bad to say but if you like green irish tweed, buy Aspen instead at the drug store. Im a big creed fan and i like green irish tweed, but thats the one i just cant bring myself to buy (its the one i get all the free samples of i can get though, when buying other scents). Maybe some disagree, but to my nose its very similar. With the other ones i don't really see a cheap substitution option.

Creed is great and once you start wearing it you will have a tough time going elsewhere. The only thing that slows me down is the price and it only holds me back so long. I am currently onto Viking.

I'm wearing Jimmy Choo mostly now, ever since getting it free with my trainers. I did like Aventus, Irish Tweed is like Davidoff Cool Water from my youth.

Nice collection Danny

I’ve been using the same cologne for many years now. A girlfriend of long ago suggested a certain brand and I’ve enjoyed it ever since.

FWIW, I was once told (by my hair stylist) that fragrances smell differently on one person to the next. Also what smells good to yourself may not smell good to your partner or others.

For Aventus, there are some clones that some would say smell the same (Insurrection Pure II, Club De Nuit Intense Man). Never used one though as I have an Aventus problem too. It's just too hard to pass on.

Are they using real ambergris, or synthetic?

I pay about $50 a gram for real amber oil. The synthetic stuff is about $30 a liter. If they are using real amber as a base, they aren't making much money on this perfume.

I am currently using Ambre Nuit by Christian Dior and Aventus by Creed. Both last all day easily. If I could only have one, it would be Aventus, having said that, Tom Ford, Tobacco Vanille got most coments.

I've had one with a collection similar to yours. Went through it all and now on Tom Ford. Will likely return to Creed again.

I’m going to be the Negative Nellie here. I fell into the Creed trapdoor soon after Aventus came out. Creed is a classic example of luxury branding with trumped up history, celebrity endorsements, premium pricing, and what was once a tightly controlled supply chain.
I fell hook, line, and sinker stocking up on Aventus parfum, deodorant, aftershave, and even the $40 soap. I felt pampered buying it at the local Neiman Marcus, or Bergdorf’s and the Creed Boutique in NYC. I still get emails and even phone calls from them asking if I need “replenishments.”
Aventus is a very powerful scent and somewhere down the line I figured out that it was just too strong for me and not everyone around me appreciated it either. I ended up giving my “full kit” to a 15 year old nephew who ate it up. I found a cologne by women’s designer Hanae Mori that is much lighter, fits me better, and is 1/3 the price. The last flavor of Creed I have is the coconut scented Virgin Island Water, when that’s gone I’m completely done.
This is not meant to be disparage anyone on the Creed train. It’s a good product but it’s the marketing hype that sets it apart way more than its inherent goodness/quality. $215 for an ounce? Really?

Love Creed! My wife also loves the scents on me, although she does not seem to like any of the women’s scents(good for me and my wallet ) but I agree, every time I’m running low, that trip to Neiman or Nordy’s is painful! Tbh I’m sometimes embarrassed to tell friends how much they cost

L'aventure by Al Hramain will pretty much get you the exact scent for ~$40.
