If I was to purchase such an expensive watch, I would probably fly over to verify it in person rather than either party getting worried.

Wether he has the watch or not I do not know. The problem I have is the TRF for sale section is not a auction house so why is the sale item being aloud to run like that??
And for what it's worth something dose not add up about this hole thing.

At least get some quality pics of this thing set the time and date dont keep posting the same pics over and over again.. Makes you wonder

If his sells for 100K then I am going to list mine at 300K. Any takers? And I will personally deliver it to your door in a monkey suit

Folks here probably know who it is.

It is very scary out there. Sometimes I get criticized why I like Bonhams or Christies but the truth is these large auction houses do a ton of due diligence on the items they represent and sell. Likewise, I have learned which AD is good and now learning which TRF guys are good. I just did a trade for PAM 279 w Alex Collector.

White EII faces are treated w/ lamps to make them a perfect cream and jack up the value to $17,000 - $20,000... numbers will be shaved and restamped, bezels changes. All sorts of craziness but the incentive to forge is HUGE and profitable.

So the Reagan adage does not apply. It's not trust but verify. It's verify and then trust.
Don't know , but you seem to have a fetishist tendency close to obsession towards fake watches . Not sure this is the right forum for you .

Thanks. I shouldn't own one of these. I can't afford one. It was my Dads watch. It was given to him also. Its been fun finding out that its worth so much and so rare. I personally haven't seen another in as good of condition as mine. And the real kicker is......it's still under a valid warranty by RUSA. Where else in the entire world are you going to find another like this? I don't think anywhere. However, I'm not so eagar to sell it. I like having a one of a kind item in my keeping. It's an "Ace in my pocket". If I sell it, I would have to buy an average run of the mill Rolex. I can't have that now can I?

This reply is completely irrelevant to my post . I only made that statement after reading several of your posts and especially the stunt you pulled by starting a thread only to end with promoting that fake vintage SUB building website on the Watch Out section here . I'm not a self appointed lord of the forum , however the real lords of the forum closed your thread strangely enough .
My sincere apologizes if I heart your feelings .

I read your thread last night. It was a great story and fun to read.

You must have one of only a few with a Rolex warranty.

You did not hurt my feelings but apologies accepted. As far as the thread being closed, ask the mod.

Cheers,

Thanks for reading. Yes, I think I am the only one that has a warranty in the entire world. If there is another, I would be greatly surprised. I have thought that if I was to sell my watch then I should do it while it's still under warranty and that it would help to increase the value considerably. Its up to Rolex service standards which is basically "like new" condition. I'm sure a collector that is searching for a DRSD in near perfect condition would come along eventually and meet the price that I have in mind. The only thing is, I will miss that watch a lot if I do sell it. Besides, who knows what it will be worth in 10 more years.

No real need to ask , it's fairly obvious on why . It only takes to read the forum rules to find out . You probably have no clue why this tread ended up in this section neither ?

I can not understand why this guy has still been allowed to advertise this watch.

FFS turn off your WIS eyes and open up your eyes to reality.

Every thing this guy has done warrents further investagation.

If you can not see this is a scam then you need your heads testing IMHO. I am sorry I am coming on strong ref this but I have seen many scammers in operation and this stinks.

The guy has come out of nowhere with a more than desirable model Please some of our members in Aus contact AUS RSC about this and if pos inform the Police about possible deception.

There is a time to be polite and this is not it, this is a joke.

MODS, feel free to edit, ban me etc.. but you have been warned.

If you feel my words are harsh then so be it, but rather that than someone losing their hard earned money to a con man.

The fact that this guy has appeared twice in the "watch out section" should raise concern.

I cannot see you selling this watch unless an event would force you to sell . You always talk so passionately about this watch , and share it's beauty with all of us at every given occasion . Let alone the sentimental value it must have knowing it was your fathers . Let's hope that day will never come and that your may pass it on to next of kin to keep it in the family . It is indeed an exceptional piece you should hang on to . Every member at TRF should be proud to have it amongst us .

That watch should be in a bank safety deposit box. How much is it insured for? I would not count on home owner insurance covering it.

I recently posted a link to a guy selling a DRSD on eBay for $180,000 US. Pretty optimistic!

The service is very high but the parts are reasonable.
Case Middle?? Thats the same as replacing a chassis on a priceless car??

Yep but Rolex is like Shelby, they can build a brand new watch from the parts they hoard. Funny the only part they have to order is the dial.
