SCAMMER - TONY1 (Alex) - BEWARE

Everyone

I did a deal with Tony1 (Alex) from Romania

We established a trade of my Blancpain Lemans Flyback Rose Gold (see my posts) for his Patek 5107G + a Sub no date + 1000 wire

I have received non of the above - I received a bogus tracking number and a lot of excuses…I am now out 20,000 USD and I want everyone to be aware!

Alex is a thief!!!

Hi Ryan,

You have below my complete shipping details.
Please let me know your bank wire details for sending you the 1000$ difference and your shipping address for the watches.
I will put both watches in 1 package to pay less for the shipping ( instead of sending each one in 1 separate package ). Hope that this is ok for you.
For the shipping please use DHL/FEDEX for me please.
We can ship both of us the watches untill this Friday in the same time. I will also send the wire in this time.
Note: when you ship up your watch mark it as GIFT/NON-SALE with 100$ customs value. I will do the same to avoid any customs fees.
My shipping details are below.
Please let me know yours and send me the tracking number once it's available.

Have you treid phoning him?

Posted 17 December, Christmas backlog? If there is an error on the tracking #

I had a watch sent by Special Delivery in the UK with gurantees delivery next day. I was given a tracking number but it didn't become live until it had been delivered. Bizarre but the watch and deal was good, after my inital panic having bank transferred the money.

Mind you, if I was to get ripped off, and bearing in mind I conduct research on the seller first, I would be making a personal trip. Let's just say:

".......... I do have are a very particular set of skills; skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you. If you return the cash now, that'll be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not pursue you. But if you don't, I will look for you, I will find you, and I will..............."

Sorry to hear about your loss. He wanted to trade the same Patek for my Chopard plus cash his way and I said no way. It just didn't feel right. I hope you get your money back.

Alex, aka TRF id: Tony1, contacted me following my TRF WTB post for a Patek 5085.
Although the price was very attractive and he forwarded pictures, I did not pursue his offer.
Alex later offered to sell the watch at a much lower price than his original offer.
I hope your deal is only experiencing a glitch and things work out as agreed.
Please send me a pm if they do.

Oh yes - all communication has been documented - TRF and Email

I am not the only one experiencing problems right now - I know two others that were "buying" the same watch (patek)

Not good - nothing about this is good

Hindsight is 20/20 of course...but I have done cash + watch trades in the past...I always sent/received the cash 1st before shipping.

Did you get a delivery receipt showing your watch reached him? If no, can you reroute that one back to you?

Since it appears he didn't send the wire, the excuse of "holiday shipping troubles" is out the window, in my opinion.

Yeah, him not sending the wire seems fishy.
I've done cash+watch trades in the past...and i always sent/received the money portion before the watches were shipped.

That was my mistake. I was trying to trust someone with good feedback - he sent me an image of a screen shot of the wire info - but it was not sent (that was on Dec 18). He also sent me a FedEx tracking number that was invalid - stating he must have mistyped it and would get back to me. That was the 19th.

Look at this link...
http://market.watchprosite.com/show-...seller--5107g/

This was a well planned trap that a few of us fell for - this is like oceans 11 - a well planned heist

Let's cut out the generalised statements concerning Romania and keep it focused on the individual. We are watching this closely.

Btw you should contact Interpol, they can find this person if he is a Romanian citizen and if the full name of Alex if right then you shouldn't worry, but if he uses another name and another address then I wish you luck.

Hello.
As i have replied to PM's here, and as other users said here about glich's with tracking numbers can happen in such busy periods as holidays when are a lot of packages incoming and days Off from work when shipping offices in different countryes have closed.
It's been only a week and the package hasn't arrived. Is the first time when this happens ? I think that many users can confirm this ?
What a generalised word for this country. But in countryes like US/UK/Nigeria etc are dozen and dozen more and nobody cares, only to give an audience to the public.
This will be sorted out hopefully untill the end of this year.
Thanks.
