The polishing cloth you have in the last pic looks off - get the watch checked by an official Rolex dealer quickly mate

I'm not sure but it was bought for me by my girlfriend... She also thinks the box looks different as her dad's watches box didn't look the same. I will have to ask her tomorrow where it's from.

I think best think I can do is take it back... I'm not really happy with it

It's a fake. And I'm pretty sure you already know this. Nice plastic wrap around the bracelet.

I have doubts about the authenticity. The paperwork alone is wrong ... if you bought it from an an authorized Rolex dealer, it would have come with different written materials.

Is your girlfriend in a position to spend $9000+ on a watch as a gift?

It may well be a fake that's why I signed up for some help but I'll be giving it back and suing the shop if that's the case.

Hmmm, I can't understand why you would pay "top dollar" to a source you do not trust, but it is done, so now the watch.
The leather wallet isn't really leather, and Rolex packaging isn't the among the best but I'd be more concerned about the watch.

Looks to be an M or V serial from the dial but pictures aren't really good. those are a couple years old now and would require special circumstances to still be BNIB at a dealer. While this isn't a big deal, what is interesting is that the watch doesn't have any factory stickers(from the pictures shown) on it so I doubt it was new.
The pearl looks wrong, and so do the end links, but it could just be the pictures.
Post better pictures.
As far as the clasp goes, a screw should not be coming out but it is possible if someone tampered with it. The writing should be clear, thin and black, doesn't look right, but again need better pics.

I would return it and deal with a real Rolex authorized AD.

Clearer pics won't make the watch real or fix a broken clasp.

^Don't bother with better pics. Just return that watch, it isn't authentic. I was being polite in my assessment.

Yes to all of the above.........OP if you are in Swansea UK you would get a 2 year warranty on a card different to that shown if from an official UK Authorised Dealer.

I'm a cynic and I could be wrong but looks to me like you know it's a replica. Your girlfriend bought that for you, and your sketchy in details? Sure buddy. I reckon your just trying to see if your replica is passable before you try and sell it to someone.

You could never sue the shop.

I know two dealers in Swansea. Which one sold this?

I must say that I read "Is my fake Rolex fake?" between the lines but then I thought, you never know. Perhaps a Rolex dealer has turned bad.

... but not really.

At least most people will remove the "Hey, look at me; I'm a fake!" plastic wrap from the bracelet before posting up pics.
