79190 inlay

Hello guys,

i'm looking for an inlay for my Tudor sub 79190, but on chrono24 there aren't many. Now, I would not mind if there is a rolex inlay instead. But to wich reference number of Rolex sub should I look? Wich one would fit? 16610? 1680?

thanks a lot

Edit: Thought you wrote a 79090. Actually uncertain if you should have a plastic sub insert or something more specific to the 79190 which has a sapphire crystal. My guess is that you can use a 5513/1680 etc insert but I can’t promise. Sorry. Someone else will know.

I don't know the answer either but the bezel design of the 79190 is different from any other Rolex or Tudor Sub that I've ever seen. It's not push-down like the earlier plexi subs but nor does it have a click spring like the sapphire crystal Rolex's. It has like a washer with upward angled tabs sticking out of it that contact teeth on the bottom of the bezel ring to make it click and be unidirectional. So like I said, I don't know if other inserts are compatible but it wouldn't surprise me if they were not.

Wow ok, that's usefull info. I did not realize that. It's kinda weird also. Why would they make a different bezel? Thanks for the reply
