Why would we be kidding?
I wear my Casio Pathfinder out in the field. Has temperature, barometer, altimiter, compass, stopwatch, multi timezones, alarm clock, and about 1,000 other features. I also wear it when I'm out on a jog, or sometimes just to change things up. Rolex is the daily wearer, and no way I'm purposely taking it out in places that it will get not just scratched up but gouged. |

Sorry, but I just can't bring myself to wear a plastic watch these days. Auto, or no watch at all for me

My Casio atomic/solar digital/anlog is a tech-marvel. If I was going to have just one watch, that'd be the one.

So you would wear no watch if you were doing something which would definitely scuff up (not scratch) your Rolex? Seems to me like a perfect time to wear a plastic watch. Also, if you're playing sports? To each his own I guess. I don't feel anything wrong with wearing a plastic watch. Some of them, like my Pathfinder are much more useful than my GMT. Mine would get all scraped beyond belief if I wore it in the field. |

I don't have a casio but a seiko along with my rolex SD
Both defo have their place. Why risk turning your daily wear rolex into some old beater under certain conditions or situations |

I don't see it as an "either/or" situation. But, rather, a "both" answer. Both watches have their place and function.

Love them both and the G-Shock is a great take it all work watch that's very hard to beat for rigidity. If they could only make an automatic that was that strong(and at that price). If this one ever stops working I'll get a new one in a hart beat. It's a shame they dont make the model I have anymore(dw-003) witch is fully encased in rubber, even te back.
