Old Rolco watch identification

Hi there! I have bought a vintage Rolco watch and I was wonderfing if anyone knew this model as I can't seem to see it anywhere. I haven't received it yet but here are the pictures from the seller!

I would be infinitely grateful if I could have some hints from you wonderful connoisseurs ☺️

(I am sorry the blurry pics, I will attach new ones as soon as I receive the watch!)

I don’t know what you have there but I do not believe that it’s a Rolex.

The Rolex shortages and hype for years has caused extreme dry in supply.
Many super fakes floating around.
Rolex sport is the best if you can buy at AD; the grey market are expensive and quality may be bad; plus may be fake.
It may be better bet get Patek or Lange office watch with leather straps.

Hi everyone. A simple question from someone relatively ignorant to watches, prices, values, investments etc.

I assume the answer is "yes" but, would an "investment" of £4000 for a "pepsi gmt master I" considered a sane choice at this age and time?

Rolex Prices in Europe

Hello everyone!!

I'm moving to Europe in July, more specifically to Italy, and I’m looking forward to buy my first Rolex. I’m interested in the Oyster Perpetual 39mm, and I have some questions:
which country is cheaper?
where can I get Tax Free or refund?
Should I buy direct from Rolex store or in a authorized dealer?

Hope to get some answers,

Best Regards

Depending on the country, you can have the tax refunded if you are a tourist and leave the country where you bought the watch. An example of this is Thailand.

.

Just for info and because of favorable change, Rolex MSRP in South-Africa is actually 75% of US prices. A 116500 for 9867$ (15% taxes included), BLRO for 7264$, SUB for 5921$ ...

116610LV - Was 8350 is 8900 now.
116500LN - Was 11400 is 12500 now.

If I am correct this gives me a raise of on average 8%.
Does this remain the same despite the pandemic?

I'm not aware of Rolex having changed prices. Also, why would they go down now? ADs can still sell (in NL they have been open the whole time, in some other places they can still ship even if they can't have clients come in) but they aren't getting any new stock as all factories are closed. So while demand is lowered, so is supply. Let's wait and see what happens after quarantines are lifted.

So what about all those assumptions that prices will fall to rockbottom in the grey market due to Covid19? I do not see any hulk below 14K on ebay and brand-new are all 15.5K and above
