Tudor Pelagos 39 lug width
Hi all!
I know the current Pelagos 39 has a lug width of 21mm but I just need to vent that it drives me crazy! I wish they did 20mm…It’s literally the only reason I haven’t bought one yet. I am hoping that they will change it in the next iteration (eg if they release it in blue etc) but I won’t hold my breath! I’m probably in the minority here but I’m wondering if people agree. Sure 21mm straps are not as common as 20mm but there are still plenty of options available. I wear mine on a NDC strap made from genuine French navy parachute elastic and think it looks great. Comes in a bracelet and with a rubber strap too. Other than the reduced quantity of straps, what other issues are holding you back? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

The 21mm isn’t too big of a deal.
New sub is the same. I like the wider look. |

I totally understand, it can be frustrating when a watch doesn't have the lug width you prefer, its all about finding the perfect fit for your wrist.

It’s a bit of a “cry me a river” situation I’m in as I have tons of 20mm straps and don’t want to repurchase a lot of them.

Many watches have lug widths greater than 20mm. Exp II is 22mm, Sub is 21mm, Skydweller is 22mm. When looking at a watch, to me, wider lugs visually balance the watch. I’m not aware of any performance issues.

Would not let that hold you back from picking one up. I got one about a month ago and it has not left my wrist. There are also some 21mm NATO options that are great (e.g. Bark and Jack, pictured below), but the bracelet is excellent. I have a few Rolexes and love them, but I enjoy wearing the Pelagos as much as anything with a crown on the dial. Just my two cents :) 0DB83CD0-BEF4-4F0F-AD48-AF5C0D821F92.jpeg

Like with my new 40mm explorer, not a big deal because their bracelets are so great.
If you want a 21mm strap option search for one of the true canvas makers, get yourself a generic Ti buckle and have a killer set up. I might do this eventually with my explorer, then use a generic polished deployant... There's plenty of high quality deployants available, some even branded by some big brands. |

Older DSSD is 21 lug width and I used 22mm natos for better balance. I have a couple 23mm natos for my 22’s
Try a 22 - you may not notice the 1mm difference. |
