Buying a Rolex on-line?
Hi,
I've been reading your forum for a while new and first I'd like to as thank you for such informative and interesting discussion and opinions, it's really helped me narrow down my choice of new Rolex. It will be my first Rolex, I currently own a Corum Challangers Cup 42. So, my short list is either the Millgaus GV or the DSSD. I know they are both very different and welcome opinions good and bad... And finally I'm based In the UK and looking for recommendations on where to purchase. Is it "safe" to purchase on-line from say www.swisswatchdealers.co.uk. They appear to be offering very good discounts. An experiences you can share will be appreciated. Thanks |

I just bought a DSSD from one of the trusted sellers here. I received a better discount then I could ever possibly get from an AD. Have no hesitation about buying from a non AD if they come highly reccomended. I did some research here in the "who's who" section of the classifieds and found someone I could be comfortable with after speaking to him on the phone.
As to the watch, you are looking at two models that couldn't be farther apart in comparison. Both are great looking watches, but in different ways. I bought the DSSD because I like large watches, own 3 breitlings and a Rolex Sub, but wanted a Rolex for a daily wear to replace the breitling I wear everyday. So now my Breitling was put in the safe for a while and the DSSD is my daily wear. Its built like a tank and is about as thick as one also. try it on your wrist before you buy it, its definately a different feel if you are used to a thin standard dress watch... |
