Oysterquartz 19018 (approx 2000)
Looking for a little help here if you would all be so kind.
I'm trying to establish the origins of my oysterquartz daydate 19018N. My serial number is A638xxx which I believe dates the watch to 1999 (thanks Bob's watches). The dial states 'Swiss made' which I understand places it in the Superluminova era of 2000+ (ie after 'Swiss' only). It's a recent purchase and I have no papers, so I wonder if there may have been a service redial at some time? The lume fires up with a little effort which amazes me somewhat! Grateful for any help here. p.s. the brushing on the case runs from top down not side to side. I have seen this before occasionally on this reference and wonder if this was a development in the model? |

I think they switched to the N series with top/down brushing in the late 80s early 90s.

Oysterquartz watches are not my thing, but this picture is from a 2000 North American catalog. Maybe helpful?
