Thought it was about time we had one of these threads

Like Dino, I'll have to confirm closer to the time, but I don't forsee any problems, will be great to see everyone!

Well personally (& I know this might sound a bit naf) but I really rate the open-top bus tours of London!
As I recall you can buy a "hop on/hop off" ticket and the route takes you all round the major sights such as Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square, The Tower of London etc etc ...."
Even if you only jump off to grab a bite to eat or see the places that really take your fancy in more interest at least you get a glimpse of everything without the hassle of the tube/underground or hideous expense of a taxi.

Apologies mate, I couldn't resist a cheap shot. I will be dusting off my Safari jacket so you can get your own back

Anyway getting the focus back on track in this thread, we need to convince Mark (Grumpy Badger) to pop on down to our warm sunny climate and join us for a few wee drams

How spooky is that...!?!

I hardly ever look at this section of the forum but I've looked in 5 minutes after my name was take in vain!

No promises but this time the proposed date doesn't rule it out for me...

With a bit of luck I might be able to dig out the blue woad for a trip south to teach you sassanachs how to drink!

You'd have to hope I passed out face-down on the table... If I slide slowly of my chair my kilt might ride up...!

Just an update for you guys.....

Thanks to a sober Eric supervising my drunken efforts I've reserved our usual summer area (ie: by the doors at the top of the steps) at The Dickens and I've said that we'll be there from 1.00-ish onwards.

I'll aim to get over there sooner just to make sur everything's in order but the area's ours for as long as we want it.

If anyone can post the "how to get here pic's" from the first London bash (or even a link to the thread?) for any first-time attendees please I'd be very grateful 'cos I've got no idea how to do it from my ipad!!

What with you in your kilt and Paul in his 70's Bond outfit all we need now is me in me hard-hat and Nathan in his rubber scuba gear and we could be the Village People rejects or something!!

Seriously Mark it'll be awesome if you can make it......

You could just grow another tash and come as Ming the Merciless! Talking about the Village People, did you ever see me "dressed" as the Native American?!?

There's a train from Lockerbie straight in to Euston so it's easy enough for me to get down... Leave it with me and I'll see if I can get all my ducks in a row.

Don't worry though Raf mate there'll be plenty of us still around on the Sunday to catch up with you whenever and wherever suits you best!!

......of course you are MORE than welcome on the Saturday too as well (or instead?) I just thought you wanted the Saturday with Mrs. Raf and a smaller GTG on the Sunday?

Sorry if I've messed up at all Raf mate but if Sunday is best for you and if you have a definite time you'd like to meet I'm positive the guys and I can arrange something a bit special for you?!

To be honest mate not knowing your itinerary or commitments I was kind of leaving the Sunday open so that we could be 'on call' whenever and wherever suited you if that makes sense??

Please let me know your thoughts mate and I'll happily take things from there.....
