Finally time to buy
Hello, I've been a longtime Rolex admirer, but have not yet bought. That is about to change, prompting me to finally create an account here!
So far, the forum has helped me plan out a "rotation" that far exceeds my means-- something to work up to for now. While not a conventional first choice, I'm trying to track down a Datejust 16220. Silver stick dial with an oyster bracelet. I think the model has a vintage cool that makes it a strong "one-watch," even though I don't think it will be lonely for too long. The engine turned bezel is a nod to the white gold fluted, but more understated to match my more casual style, the bracelet is a nod to the sport models, while easily slipping under the cuff. I hope to find one soon to commemorate my birthday and engagement, so that I can wear it during my wedding next spring-- who knows, maybe I can save to find a ladies model for my fiancé too. Looking forward to continuing to learn from everyone, Brad |
